What time is it?

We have been working really hard on time during math class.  The students have learned how to tell time to the half hour, quarter hour, 5 minute, and minute.  We have also learned elapsed time, which has being very difficult for some.  Please continue to ask your child to tell you the time regularly so they don't forget this important skill.

One fun activity we did in class was create our own watches.  The students had to keep an eye on the classroom clock throughout the day and when their watch matched the classroom clock they had to come and tell me what time it was. The class really enjoyed this activity and started wearing their watch on their wrists.
